Simple 5-Ingredient Chili Recipe

Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a leaner option),1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes,1 small onion, diced,2 tablespoons chili powder

Instructions: In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. If using ground turkey, cook until no longer pink.

Add the diced onion to the pot and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the chili powder and cook for another minute to toast the spices.

Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices) and drained kidney beans to the pot. Stir well to combine.

Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer uncovered for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together and the chili to thicken.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, optionally topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, or your favorite chili toppings.
